How the Consignment Process Works
Step 1: Bring Your Items for Valuation
Visit our saleroom at Unit 22 Moderna Business Park, Mytholmroyd during opening hours. No appointment is necessary. Our experts will assess your items and provide an honest market valuation. For large collections or items that are difficult to transport, we offer home visits across West Yorkshire.
Step 2: Consignment Agreement
If you decide to sell, we will complete a simple consignment agreement. This sets out the terms including reserve prices (if applicable) and commission rates. Everything is transparent — no hidden fees or surprises.
Step 3: Lotting and Cataloguing
Our team will professionally photograph and catalogue your items. Each lot is described accurately and presented to attract the widest possible audience of buyers, both in our saleroom and online.
Step 4: Auction Sale
Your items are offered at our next available auction. Bidding takes place in our saleroom and online simultaneously through EasyLiveAuction, ensuring maximum exposure and competitive bidding.
Step 5: Seller Payment
After the auction, sellers receive payment within 21 working days by bank transfer. We provide a full settlement statement showing hammer prices, commission, and net proceeds.
Our Commission Structure
Seller Commission: 15% of the hammer price plus a £1 lotting fee per item.
Buyer Premium: 20% is charged to the buyer on top of the hammer price.
There are no listing fees, no photography charges, and no withdrawal fees for items that do not sell.
